Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default 2012 Elantra Long-Term Test by Motor Trend

Starting today I will post with info related to the Long-Term Test that Motor Trend will perform for a year to the 2012 Elantra Limited.

First the Specs:
Color: Silver
Base Price: $21205
Price as Tested: $23435
0-60mph: 9.5 sec
Quarter Mile: 17.1sec @ 82.2 mph
Braking, 60-0: 124 ft
Lateral Acceleration: .08 g (Avg)

Total Mileage: 4687 mi
Average Fuel Economy: 28.9 mpg

They added the $2100 Technology Package, $95 floormats and the $35 Ipod Cable

The rest of the info on the article is an Intro to the Long-Term Test.

Something that I did not notice is that there is no mention related to the first Oil Change, given that they already pass the 3750 mi recommendation.

Feel free to comment and if you want to read the article is on page 107 of January 2012 issue for Motor Trend

Until next month...
