Default 2.7 spark plug change, follow up problems

Changed them at school, used all data, pretty easy process. Instead of using a torque wrench I zipped down the nuts with my elec impact(up to 40 lb), there is a noticeable whistling noise, like its sucking in air, but will only do it when Im accelerating, cant reproduce the problem reving the engine in the driveway, I sprayed carb cleaner all around it and it doesnt change the idle. So I loosened all the nuts and did the correct torque and sequence buy no better, so maybe I need another new gasket, maybe they are no good after being compressed.

Vaccuum lines and air intake snorkel- or anything else you moved to get the intake off- check those too!

If it only does it under acceleration, It is likely not an air leak- there is very low manifold vacuum with the throttle open. Maybe it is the slipping harmonic dampener. Did you do all this work at the same time? Check EVERYTHING you touched since the noise started.

Default The plenum gasket

If you changed your spark plug you need to take off the surge tank, there is the plenum gasket witch is prone to leak after you take it off, does cause the whining sound, and the torque specs are 12-14 ft-lb

In our efforts to help we sometimes miss important things like the date the party posted the request, which was in 2011. They probably sold the vehicle by this time.
