Radio Reception
#2
few things to consider about the AM radio band:
- its getting close to a dead format, very common for most decks tend not have great reception there. they tend to focus more on the FM band.
- just by its nature, the AM band does not have as good reception as the FM band
- consider the distance between you and the stations you are trying to get. also your geography, if you're around a bunch of rock/mountains then you won't get good reception no matter what you do.
if you're fairly close to the station(s) and you're still pretty sure that your AM reception is less than what it should be, the only solution is a new deck.

Thanks for the reply but as I can get good reception at home and in my Ford Territory I believe that there is a problem in the Elantra. I contacted another Hyundai Forum in the States and was advised of a fix for the problem. Please refer to the attached web site for details. Are you aware of this fix in Australia, if it will fix the problem and where the kit can be purchased. Regards Alan
