Has anyone here ever changed the high mount brake light bulb in an accent? I unscrewed the 4 screws on the base of the light cover near the window, however it doesn't seem to do a whole lot. Reading up on the Hyundai service website, I can't seem to find any info on changing the light bulb. They have a DIY for taking the entire light assembly out (requires the trunk lid trim be removed, remove 5 bolts, disconnect wires, remove 4 screws, etc...) but I can't imagine it would be that complicated just to change a bulb... is it?? Any help appreciated.. thanks.

 

Yeah, that's what it says, it's not really that hard:

1.Disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal.[/align]2.Remove the tailgate trim.[/align]3.Remove the 5 bolts, disconnect the wire connector and then remove the center high mounted stop lamp.[/align]4.Installation is the reverse of removal.[/align]
