The defrost panel at the top of the dash has become brittle and cracking. The worst part is the constant squeaking from that area of the dash now. I found the replacement part # 84810-3K000-FZ, but I'm not so sure about how to remove the old one. I've been told you may have to take the windshield out to have enough room to remove it. That's not an option for me. From some images, it looks like it is just held in by clips and should just pull up and come out. Easier said than done, there's barely any room to grab it and I'm afraid it will just break apart if I am able to get a tool in there and get some leverage on it.

Has anyone done this before? Are there any tricks to it? I don't want to order the new part until I'm certain I can get it replaced without removing the windshield.
