I got a 98 hyundai elantra, and my check engine light just came on yesterday, and I checked the oil, it was low so I just added more oil to it so that is good now. All the other fluids seem fine, but the check engine light is still on. What can it be?

 

hello I am new myself, so not sure how to use this site..I think you have to get that lite reset..I don't know how..sometimes if u don't click tighten the gas cap enough, the lite comes on..or sometimes it could be a bad switch or oxygen sensor..my CHECK engine lite has been on for over a year..and the car still runs fine..GOOD LUCK..i hope this helps
