Ok just had trans serviced,,they changed fluid=said 7quarts,,trans shifts and operates great-fine,,but is dark in color,,is this normal or should I concerned>? 26k miles & plenty of warranty left..dealer says normal..advise thanks MJB

 

Accent with bottom pan is a 4.5qt (typically) drain and fill.. 7qt ? did they flush machine or drain and fill ?

Fresh fluid mix with remnants of old will make for some dark tint.. also note that the dye used in SP-III turns from red to brown / green-brown / black with age.. also smells foul too.

 

They flushed filled,,, thanks for update it is dark but dark red on napkin,,feel better now,,(I thought pink like other cars,,MJB
