Electrical lights/backup camera
On my 2015 Tucson, the lights don't seem to function properly. Sometimes the turn signal works, sometimes it doesn't. The same is true for the marker lights. The narrow while light in headlight on the driver side never works. If I change a bulb that is out, a different one will go out. All of these issues seem to be on the driver's side of the car. In addition, the backup camera is a blue screen; the passenger window switch won't bring the window up and the auxiliary plug in for the phone does not work. I know this is a large list. Anyone have these types of issues before????? Any help is appreciated.
One of the things you can do is; remove, clean and reinstall every wire connected to the sheet metal of the vehicle. That connection needs to be cleaned with a piece of sandpaper. Two things need to be verified and they are power and ground at the bulb socket. If either one is absent, that needs to be traced back to the place where it originates. Many times there is a splice in the wiring that doesn't always make a good connection.. A voltmeter is helpful, but doesn't put enough load on the circuit and that is one of the reasons I use a test light for checking lighting CONNECTIONS ONLY.
