When driving my Excel, it shifts into second (Auto) for a few moments and then the engine starts to break up and most of the time, I have to pull over and wait to restart it. Occasionally, when I don't pull over, I have to let up on the gas and the engine will come back to life but if you press the gas afterwards, it breaks up. I don't know what the problem is now, it's anyone's guess.

I replaced:
Fuel Filter, Ignition Module (cost $150!!!), Cap and Rotor, Spark Plugs (Bosch Platinum 2s), PCV valve, and added premium fuel.

It's really aggravating because I need to drive the car.
Could it be that it needs a new Coil??

Please help me out.

 

It turns out that the problem was the fuel pump. I put a new one in and it has been running great.
