Cool How to turn off Elantra EPS?

I have heard that the 2013 Elantra loose steering and handling can be improved by turning off the EPS. How is this done?

You can't turn it off. The dealer might be able to adjust it with a scan tool but that's about it.

And I'd really recommend against this. If you were worried about the handling characteristics, you could go aftermarket I suppose. Different sway bars and suspension components (lower control arms etc).

I doubt a dealer would even turn off this functionality. Not safe IMHO.

Steering is not adjustable and cannot be turned off unless you unplug the steering motor plug. Doing this will make steering extremely stiff. Have not seen problems with the newer models.
