Ignition question
I recently purchased a 2006 Tucson (which I love!), butthelittle darlin'hasthis little annoying habit that I cannot seem to troubleshoot in the owner's manual.
Why does the horn honk when I turn the key and start the engine? It is a single, gentle honk, but at 7:00 AM, I am sure my neighbors would prefer my car start quietly and take me off to work without this announcement. On the same token, when I leave my place of work and my sweet Tucson honks to announce my departure, my co-workers look my direction and either wave or scowl. To add to this confusion, the horn does not honk every time, but more often than not,it does.
Can anyone help me solve my little Tucson's desire to call attention to herself??
Thank you so much!

RE: Ignition question
Something in your security system? Click on the key fob, unlock, twice and see if that works. If you have it on lock and alarm, but only click it once to open, the alarm may still be armed and when you turn the key on, that turns the alarm off, but maybe activating the horn.

RE: Ignition question
Thank you so much for your help!! Your suggestion was right on the mark! It took a little experimentation, but if I click the key fob 3 times to unlock that will disengage whatever was making the horn sound.
I really appreciate your help!
Thanks again!
