Default No OBDII codes on 2005 V6 Sonata.

Just came from my buddies place. He wanted me to pull the codes for him. But the OBD II unit is not working at all. Shows nothing on anything. Does this have a fuse relay or link somewhere? Also he just called again, and he had taken to DMV thinking my tester was bad, its brand new, they said the same thing, it was not working. Any thoughts on what would cause this and where to check it out would be great. This is a new one on me..

thanks in advance Swampy

PS, my obd2 unit is the INNOVA 3110. Does great job on all my cars. It reads my wifes Elantra fine so should read his Sonata also....

DLC Connector is lacking source voltage or ground to drive the scanner..

'Puter here wont let me steal SVG image from HMA, so might have to try at home..

Probe all the fuses in the engine compartment and cabin fuse blocks, make sure they all there too.

This site does not allow .SVG images...

On the DLC, terminal 9 is source voltage, driven by the sunroof fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.. Ground is terminals 4 and 5..
