Oil Light On
Usually ,,,,,,,,,,,,an oil pressure sending unit determines if the light stays on or goes off depending on the oil pressure itself.
If you are not hearing bad noises from the engine , there is a good possibility only the oil pressure sensor or the wiring may have a problem. What is usually done is to connect a gauge to the location where the sending unit is located and oil pressure verified. If all is ok there, good chance the sending unit is defective..
