Parking Lights come on by themselves
Overnight, the parking lights of my 2018 Hyundai Elantra SEL turned themselves on.
The car had not been started, driven, or even unlocked for several days and I know that all of the car lights were OFF last evening after 9PM (as I observed when returning from walking our dog).
When leaving for work this morning at about 5 AM, a family member alerted me that the parking lights were on.
We used the remote to unlock the car doors, and moved the light switch from "Automatic" to "Off" which DID turn the parking lights off.
We then proceeded to turn the ignition, to make sure the battery had not been drained. Fortunately it started fine.
Has anyone else observed parking lights turning on by themselves?
Or is this an indication of something else, such as an indication that an intruder attempted to gain entry to a locked vehicle?

My car has been doing this. I've brought it to the shop but because they couldn't duplicate it they said they couldn't do anything. From research it has been happening for years on the Hyundais. My car is now completely dead in my driveway because of it This is bull that I am paying on a car I can't drive because of a glitch of Hyundais.
I have had this issue for over a year with my Tucson Hybrid and it finally got diagnosed today! They’ve changed the sensors and light box to no avail previously but this time they said they were able to replicate it and it was an internal short in the multi function switch. I hope this info can help you!
