Tick in engine after cold start 16' Elantra
Hi all,
I have a 2016 Elantra Sedan with 66,000km on it. I purchased it new. Just within the last 2-3 months I hear an
engine tick after starting cold engine. While in park If I just touch the gas pedal a little the engine revs up and as it spools down the ticking becomes more noticeable. The ticking lasts for about 5-10 minutes then disappears completly!
Could this be the infamous piston slap issue with Elantras? I thought it only applied to years 2010-2015?
Also oil and filter serviced by dealer every 6 months.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!🙂
