Default Topping up Power Steering fluid in my Excel 99

My Power Steering fluid is a little low on my Hyundai Excel 99 (just on the low line), I know it says in the manual to use PSF-3 or ATF Dexron II fluid. My question is I don't know which one of these fluids is currently in the Power Steering, so would it be safe to top up using the PSF-3 or ATF Dexron II fluid? Say for example if the Dexron II fluid was in there, and I topped it up with PSF-3, will this not matter or will it screw up the power steering?

Thanks for anyones help.

If the manual says you can user either it doesn't matter which one is in there. They are compatible with each other.

Thanks for the help NovaResource, yep the manual says I can use either, I have some spare Dexron III fluid, I've searched google and some people have said that Dexron III is compatible with Power Steering on cars that use Dexron II, is this true?

Thanks

Yes, you can use Dex III in place of Dex II or PSF3.
