Help! I have taken my Sonata to a transmission repair and they have checked it out and tell me they cant find anything wrong, but they do see the problem. The car is stuck in second gear, you can tell this by going to the "Sport" mode and seeing "2" in the transmission. It starts up this way and will not go higher or lower.

They are now suggesting I take it to another place (Apparently since they are not intelligent enough to figure the problem out on their own.

Their best guess is that its an electronic problem somewhere, but they dont want to mess with it since its a "low dollar" item and dont want to mess with the transmission since they would be on the hook for it then.

Anyone else heard of this problem and know what the answer could be? They have hooked it up to a diagnostics computer and cannot find anything either.
