will not shift out of park

points to possible brake light switch all fuses are good if brake light switch is the fix how do you get at it, it looks like its right above steering line

brake light switch is good,all fuses good still no brake lights and will not shift out of park

How do you know the switch is good? If you are not getting brake lights the switch is probably bad.

Check the stop lamp switch:
(1) With an ohmmeter connected to the stop lamp switch terminals, check for continuity.
(2) If there is no continuity when the plunger is depressed and there is continuity when the plunger is released, the stop lamp switch is normal.

I verified with a meter was able to see switch open and close as I pushed in on switch while connected to meter what is left to check I was told that there is a solonoid somewhere in the system if this is true where is this located
