Hey all! I'm new here so you've probably discussed this already. Alt. belts been squeakin' 'bout a year now. I know I'm an idiot for not changing it sooner! Finally snapped today. Christmas eve of course! Can I change the belt myself? Difficult? Got a 2002 Accent, GS. Thanks! Oh yeah, is this also the drive belt?

Thanks all! Decided it wasn't worth the trouble (nothing is going right for me lately)! Took Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to a mech. $89, one and a half hours later, runs great! I would have been at it for days!

 

Oh yeah! Have to say, took the car to the dealer 'bout a year ago and was told I would just have to live with the squeaking belts! Normal for my car! Not going to a dealer ever again! Can't believe I was listening to that for a whole year, spraying belt dressing all over the place!
