01 accent strange vibration
hey guys, found this site, and i love it. you guys seem really helpful. ok, i would like to see if anyone has ever had this problem before. I just got my accent back from the transmission shop about 2 weeks ago. tranny went, so the guy put in a new/used tranny with 6,000 miles on it. (my car has just under 90,000, so i got a hell of a deal on the tranny) but anyways, now when im driving, as soon as my tach hits 3,500 rpm, i get a nasty vibration that can be felt throughout the car. i feel it mostly in the accelerator and the shift ****. (its auto but i rest my hand on the ****) once it hits 3,500 it will do it throughout the rest of the 7,000 rpm it has in it. when they drop below 3,500, its all smooth as silk again. ive tried it in every gear (l, 2, 3, and drive) does it in all. I took it back to the place that did the tranny swap and they said it WASNT the tranny, but they couldnt find what it was. Any similar problems? im about to ask my uncle to look at it, hes a mechanic. thanks in advance for any help. If you guys would like a video, im sure it may be helpful, i'll take a spin with a camera rolling, so you can hear what happens.

oh, by the way, it will NOT do it in neutral, so im just assuming its not the engine. im not a mechanic, but have a very good grasp on the way a car works.

RE: 01 accent strange vibration
i have a 2000 accent 2 dr hatchback automatic. i replaced the pulse generator (sensor) in last October, and the kick down servo (sensor) 1 week ago. There was no improvement after changing the pulse generator, so i don't wanna waste my money on changing the kick down servo. But, the transmission was getting worse and worse in these months, so i decided to replace the kick down servo too. The dealer said if i don't replace it right away, the transmission would be dead in the time i replaced the generator in last October.
It is getting much worse than before i replaced the kick down servo. Because before it was just rough shifting only. But now the transmission just don't go from 1st gear to 2nd gear sometimes. But when in the 2nd gear, or/and from 40km/h to 80km/h, it goes so smooth and accelerate so fast. But when it reaches 80km/h, the rpm is 3000, 90km/h is 4000, 100km/h is 4000, and 110km/h is 4500...and i didn't try to reach over 110km/h because i was afraid the transmission in so high rpm in 3rd gear.
The transmission just don't go to 4th gear...
If i switch the O/D off the transmission won't shift to 4th gear? But actually i really turn O/D on all the time!
PLEASE HELP !!!! SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH.
