2002 Hyundai Accent 5-speed not starting... again
I have a 2002 Hyundai accent that I purchased for a couple hundred bucks. It didn't start when I bought it, so I had some work to do. The engine would try to turn over, but wouldn't start. I eventually changed the Crank Shaft Position Sensor and it fixed the problem.
NOW...
Today, as I am driving on the freeway the car poops out as I'm going 60mph. pressing on the gas but nothing, some revving but not going. I was able to coast over to the shoulder. The steering wheel and brakes stiffen up as I am getting over. I still have all power, but now the car won't start.
It is NOT making the same noise it did when it was the CSP sensor. Now it is making a revving kind of squeal when I try to start it up. It's not even getting to a jumpy start attempt. The timing belt is still attached and tight, from what I can see on top. I've seen videos that point to coil packs and starter. I am a novice at troubleshooting, so not sure how to test theses.
Any info on how to test or where to look would be greatly appreciated.
