2001 washer pump motor?
I have a friend with a 2001 accent 1.5 and the washer pump does not work.
I told him to replace it but he checked it and the motor in the pump is fine as well as the switch has any one had this issue and found there was a relay or something else causing the moter not to work?
I had a similar issue with my 2002 and even though the moter looked good it was rusted and corroded inside,

Thanks for the help, It is actually a friend of mine who has the car and knew I was a member here, I sold my Accent last year but still check on the site from time to time.
Someday I plan on picking up an other Accent.

RE: 2001 washer pump motor?
I have a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 and when I first bought the car in Feb. 2008 the washer fluid pump worked in the front once in a while but mostly not at all. The back never workedat all. Now neitheris working at all. I don't hear any noise when I try to use it so I assumed the motor had to be the issue and was just going to get a new one to replace it. I was going to have my husband just replace the pump motor since it is so cheap to buy and (I've heard) relatively easy to replace yourself. So there ARE other things it could be besides the pump motor? The wipers front and back work just fine still....

With Bumbleberry, he was a third party relaying info between the owner and the forum. Sometimes symptoms are not communicated clearly. I still suspect a bad pump or corroded connections on the pump. The pumps are mounted on the bottom of the tanks and often exposed to humidity and road grime.
