Hey everyone, so i was about to change the inner tie rod on my 2012 Accent and found out that there is a lot of play moving it sideways. It is also making a sqeaking sound when turning the steering wheel. What do you guys think ?

 

If,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,something doesn't feel right to you, Plan on replacing the entire rack and pinion unit.

Don't forget you will need to take the vehicle for an alignment when done since you disturbed the settings.

Not very often when any steering parts are replaced do we escape that alignment. Which if not done can destroy the front tires and then we have the alignment done when the tires get replaced. Now you are reminded, what do you think?

 

Ok I removed everything surrounding the tie rod and it is definitely the steering gear that is all ****ed up
