Default 97 Accent 120k, It will not go above about 2300 rpms

97 Accent Automatic, 120K 12 valve. The engine will not go above 2300 rpm, having no power. I change the wires. plugs and coil pack with no luck. Could somebody help.
Thanks in advance.
Fred
I hope this is the right forum, as I'm not sure which forum to use.

This is the right forum! As for your problem, it could be a ton of little things and I don't know where to begin.

i just got a 2000 accent with 154000mi and the poor thing couldn't get over 2000rpms. The check engine was on all the time, and if i had enoght room to get it to 35-40, the light would flash and i'd loose all power completly. Well, long story short it turned out to be a Mass Air Flow sensor. $100 5 min. job. Runs like a champ.
