When we attempt to start the engine we activate the starter and the engine cranks over.
When it begins to run we say it fires up.
What we need to know is just what is it doing.
Is it not cranking over at all?
Is it cranking over but not firing up?
There are different procedures to follow depending on which symptom is present.

When an engine cranks over , but refuses to start running, usually 2 things need to be present, fuel and spark.

When it refuses to start , if we remove any one of the spark plugs,if it is wet or dry can provide a clue.
If it is wet , chances are there is no spark being available to start.
If it is dry , chances are it could be a fuel supply problem , which could be caused by an electrical problem or a possible fuel pump problem. They have electric fuel pumps.
