Default Adjusting the dash clock

Seems simple enough, but I dont have the owners manual and can't seem to set the clock. It actually holds time, its just not set correct. Is there a special proceedure beyond just pushing the H or M button?...what is the R button?....does the ignition need to be on or off?...etc, etc.

Cheers
