Default Clicking while coasting

2004 Accent w/ automatic---When lifting off the accelerator pedal, coasting, I hear a clicking that slows down as the speed drops. If I then give it enough gas to maintain the current speed, the clicking stops.
Putting the car into neutral when coasting makes no difference.
I lifted each front wheel and spun it in neutral. I could not DEFINITELY recreate the same clicking. There was something similar.
I'm thinking CV joints, hoping it's not a major transmission issue.
Has anyone experienced any like symptoms?

first steps would be to determine where its coming from - hang your head out the window

it could be simple as brakes, i had some noise with mine and turned out the metal shroud behind one of the front rotors was bent in and rubbing on the brake disc. a couple mins with a pair of pliers fixed that.

yes CV joints are possible...start by looking for tears or leaking grease in the boots. jack the car up in neutral and get underneath and see if you can hear something abnormal from those joints.

transmission is a possibility, but i'd be surprised. generally you'd be looking at a bad bearing and thats usually squealing/grinding noise.

It's not that loud. You have to turn off the radio and fan to hear it.
I was hoping someone who had experienced this already would have replied.
Thanks anyway.

Question Clicking and then will not go.

My 2012 Elantra has started making a clicking sound when I hit the brakes for a stop the click can be found at low speed just before I come to a stop. Then when I hit the gas nothing happens, it is as if the car is in neutral. I will not allow me to shift the car into park when this happens. I can hit the shift release button and get it into park but it clicks a lot going into park. All gears are as if it is in neutral including park... The crazy thing is when I get it towed back to my house after coming off of the tow truck it works again.

There is something going on that the vehicle computer is picking up that should not be happening.
It is NEVER a good thing to attempt to place the shift lever in the park position while the vehicle is moving.

What may be happening , when the trans disengages,, it resets when you turn the key off.If it happens again , try turning the key off , wait a second or two , then try to start the vehicle and place it in gear and see what happens. It may save you a towing bill. Now we just need to see what is going on.
I do not believe much can be done without a capable scan tool to check for any possible codes so we have some direction.
