Driving dirt roads and suspension...help !
Hi
I'm planning on doing quite a bit (40%)of dirt (hard packed, and loose gravel), driving as well as normal paved city/hiway. I don't want to super modify my 99 suspension, but rather add some component(s) to front suspension, that doesn't sacrifice my factory ride in city BUT allows for better handling on those dirt roads. I seem to find a lot of those washboard ruts (the kind that shakes your teeth loose) and makes the steering wheel vibrate your hands/arms uncontrollably.
I'm not doing high speed off road driving here, just trying to better control the car and steer around small pot holes, at the same time (25 mph). I've heard about those metal bars that connect the struts together, but don't think that's what I need. I just want to keep the tires on the road, and not bouncing around (aircraft = yaw axis) and me with them.
BTW: I have 14" factory rims on my GSi
any suggestions will be most appreciated
