Default F&I Warranty?

Hello, fellow Hyundai enthusiasts,

I recently visited my local Hyundai dealership to buy an Accent 2012 GL. The salesman wants me to purchase something called "F&I Warranty", which costs $700. According to him, it includes a 3-year warranty on punctured tires, tire locks, and nitrogen for the tires. I feel that $700 is too much to pay for this. I asked the salesman to remove this component; to do so, he'd have to speak to his manager.

Does anyone know anything about this F&I warranty? Is this legit, or something I should avoid?

Thanks,

HH

The primary job of the F&I Officer is to extract as much money as they can from your wallet while offering almost no tangible benefit in return. Like NR said, skip it.

Its against the law to charge anything other than tax and licening everthing else is a OPTION and all of their clear coat, upholstery and undercarriage protectants/sealers are a option, do they work yes are they worth it NO. see the manufaturers are held to certain standards and the vehicle has to be able to hold up to 5-10 years of corrison control engineering complicance before they can leave the factory all the other is a quick buck into the dealers pocket
