hello i just got a free 2000 hyundai accent and the timing belt was stripped.... i dont know if there is a special way to time it or wat not i timed it like the dealer said and it sounds like its still off timing!!!! please help i really want this care to work!

 

did you remove all the valves from the head and check them? the majority of the time when a timing belt snaps it bends a few valves... i have seen all of them get destroyed, and i have seen an integra get cranked and cranked after the belt snap and all the valves were fine... but you should check them out. most cars are about 5 bucks a valve, i can't see them costing more then ten bucks max. especially for a hyundai. good luck
