Default Hyundai Accent LC2 1.5L Automatic Fuel Consumption Issue

Hey there , Im from Malaysia , im here trying to figure out what's the fuel consumption of a 2005 Hyundai Accent 1.5 with the SOHC engine & 4-Speed Automatic transmission should be getting .

Mine is quite terrible i should say , its only got 20mpg or 11.7L/100KM mixed city & highway driving & economical driving style , compared to my other 1.5L vehicle which can get around 30 - 37mpg this Accent is absolutely terrible on gas mileage .

I had done what i can do to improve it such as " using thinner 5W-30 synthetic engine oil , Air filter , fuel filter , fuel pump replaced , injector cleaned , both Oxygen Sensor replaced " it only got from 19 to 20 mpg .

It is too underpowered compared to other vehicle with same engine setup " 1.5L SOHC 4-Cyl " .

I have no idea if this car is suppose to be this way or it had something wrong that i haven't solved .

So im here to get info from anyone who had the same vehicle .

Thanks for any advice .

Ths sounds like very bad fuel consumption. Did you replace the spark plugs and spark plugs wires?
