Its most likly your window motor burnt out.
Just take door panel off and push window up to a certain highth to get to motor sometime it can be a pain to get to and you will have to take it in.
Hope this helps

Whe you operate the window switch can you hear the motor run?

If the motor had burnt out I wouldn't have thought you could move the window by hand because of the gearing, it sounds to me as though there is no mechanical connection between the motor and window mechanism.

Best of luck,

Chris.

ok i took the door panel off...i can hear the motor run, it sounds like its grinding some, almost like there's sand in it, but it still moves. the little wire cords that it pulls on moves too, i cant figure out where the problem is though...i know it has to be mechanical, but i cant get a working view at to what is going on

another common fault on these is the door regulator collapsing .sounds like yours needs replacing.
