Default MALFUNCTION INDICATOR light

Got a car from a friend 2005 Accent 1.6, timing belt broke. Car got towed to my house. Owner said I could have it for loan payoff. So I tried doing a leak down test, no luck. Ended up pulling the head off, dissassembled it checked all the valves, no bent valves. Put everything back together had five hydraulic lifters that according to the book should have been replaced. I bled as much air out as I could by hand and put them back in. Car started no problems. Lifters were noisy. I let car idle for 5 minutes and everything got quiet. Now the only problem that I seem to have is the malfunction indicator light is lit on the dash. What I can tell this is emmissions system malfunction. Might this be from the lifters not being pumped up correctly on engine start or did I miss plugging in a connector somewhere?

How is the computer reset on this car? Thanks

Need to scan the PCM for codes, and figure if there is actual problem or result of broken belt..

How does the engine run ?

Get codes first and write them down.. clear them, carry on with normal driving and see what returns ..
