Default No dash lights

Hi everybody. The other night while driving,my dash lights suddenly went out.So I took it to a garage and they replaced a diode(I think that's what it's called). So i left the garage and just as I got home,no dash lights again. So again,I went back to the garage and he put in another diode but this time it would not work.Anybody know how to fix this problem or what it may be?Thanks

Hi

I know this is an old post ,did you ever find the solution to the dash lights ? My daughters 02 Accent has just had dashlight failure . I cant find any bad connections or lose wires anywhere. If its like most other imports the dash lights are in circuit with the clearance / park lights ??? All those work fine .
They some time come on breifly when going over a bump ,then when she turns ign off they never comeback on ,until the next harsh bump , usually . By your experience it seems the diode didnt really work ?

Thanks for any assistance
