Default radiator hose clamp.

I'm trying to remove my radiator and need to remove one of my hoses. However, i'm unsure how to remove it. The only way I can think of removing the clamp is to squeeze it together. But it's too hard by hand. Can i use some pliers or do i need a special tool? I don't want to break it.

You can use pliers. You should be able to reuse it, but I would recommend replacing it with a screw-type clamp.

this is the only thing in the world i use channel lock pliers for, they do make tools for this, but its not worth it if you arent working on cars alot... but the tools do rock
