Default Timing belt time line replacement

I recently purchased my 02 accent with a mere 30k miles on it. I noticed a sticker that dealership replaced timing belt in 07. Not having the owners manual I found a soft copy & discovered the service interval is 5 years/60k miles. With aprox. 40 pounds to dollars 10k miles driven at Chicago to Nashville time of replacement (I'm making an assumption here on miles driven) I'm questioning when I should be considering the next belt replacement. If I'm going with what the dealership did the belt should be replaced every five years. Is that correct or was the belt prematurely changed.

First of all , the belts are not all that expensive when compared to what can happen if it lets go on the road. Towing charge, top or all of engine replacement due to bent valves, piston damage etc. Soo , replacement of the belt is no big deal. It is a small price compared to what it could be !.

Regardless of when the belt was changed if unknown, do it or have it done for your own piece of mind. It is only a belt change and maybe a few other parts. This, when planned, can save you plenty of $$$ and time. The mileage figure is only a guide and it can be more or less.
