03 Elantra A/C problem, please help!
Hi there!
I have a 2003 Elantra GLS/w. stick - 161,000 miles - extremely well maintained.
I purchased the car in November so I was unable to test the A/C thoroughly.
Long story short, the A/C get very cold, as it should. However, the temperature will fluctuate. The air blowing with fluctuate between ice cold A/C and ambient room temperature. It does this whether driving or sitting still. Also, it varies how severe it can be. sometimes it will fluctuate more than others.
I thought it may be the interior temp sensor? or possibly a weak compressor?
(side note - my blend door (or whatever its called) that controls the vent position (floor/defrost/etc.) is broken, and only blows through the vents...could this effect the temperature?)
Any advice would be appreciated. I have searched far and wide all over the internet for answers and info.
THANKS!
