Default 2001 Hyundai Elantra Dashlights problem

I recently bought a 2001 Hyundai Elantra, wonderful car. I noticed that the dash lights did not work, also the heater control lights do not work either, I have checked the fuses and I did replace the dimmer and such and it is still not fixed. I'm very confused. I've been using a flashlight, but I would like my dash lights to work again. And also the radio lights do not work, it is the factory radio. Any suggestions

Did you verify power and ground to rheostat. I would suspect you have a blown or missing fuse. Check the 2 fuses that are in the yellow connector at the incar fuse box.
