My dad has an 08 Elantra. The problem is that the a/c is barely blowing out of the dash vents. It is blowing out of the defrosters and from the floor. It is blowing cold and the heat works fine as well. I was wondering if it could be the air blend actuator under the dash? Does anyone know anything else that would cause this?

 

First thing to check is the mode control actuator on the left (driver's) side of the heater case. If you have a Power Probe, put 12v to terminal 3 and ground to terminal 4. If the actuator is good, the mode door will go to the vent position. Should not be confused with the blend door actuator on the opposite side of the heater case.
