It was done for weight and fuel economy, not cost cutting.

what % tint is that on the windows? it looks sharp... I just picked up my Black Elantra last Thursday and have a tint appointment this Thursday - trying to decide how dark to go.

also, where did you get the mud flaps? OEM or aftermarket? I came across these that are pretty cheap on ebay but not sure of the quality"
