Might be asking a dumb question. But has anyone ever changed the USB port to one that works?

I'm installing an aftermarket Sony stereo and I wanted to replace the factory USB port to look more seamless (ie. Remove the existing one, and somehow replace it with a new one for Apple carplay/Android Auto).

Is this possible? Will I ruin the Aux/USB ports entirely?
