Hoping for some help here. I have a 2013 Elantra limited. about a week ago it just would not turn on. It tries to but the car won’t start. I've changed out the fuel injectors and looked at the spark plugs, those are all good. the batter tested great. I also pulled out the starter and it tested well. and the alternator seems fine due to the battery having a full charge. my next step was to check the fuel pressure and I got a kit for that but cannot for the life of me figure out how to hook it up. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. any help would be greatly appreciated. I have included a video of how it sounds when it starts in case anyone has any other ideas for me. Thank you!

 

The only way to check fuel pressure on newer vehicles is with a capable scan tool that will provide fuel pressure and test the fuel pressure sensor at the same time.

 

Did you ever find the issue or figure out where to attach the fuel pressure testing gage?

 

That engine most likely has direct fuel injection and pressures can be in the area of 2-3 thousand psi. . Therefore the only way to verify fuel pressure is with a scan tool that provides the pressure reading from the fuel pressure sensor. Direct injection fuel systems can be dangerous to play with and should not be attempted to do any physical diagnosis as was permitted in non direct injection systems.

I have a similar problem. My car will crank but not turn over. I replaced the fuel pump and it started up. Lasted about a week then stopped turning back on. I replaced the pump again, but this time it won't start. I have spark and air but no pressure to the fuel rail. Changed out relay, all fuses are good. Please help

 

At this end we have no idea of what the person requesting help is capable of doing, so to prevent injury and unnecessary expense we try to let folks know what they can do with limited tools, info and facilities.
There are folks that have some of these requirements and all we can do is offer some guidance and steps to help.
