Has anyone walked out to your Hyundai and the trunk is open? I have the auto trunk open feature turned off but several times a week I’ll go to my car and the trunk is open. Crazy. It’s not a good thing especially if you’re at a shopping center and it opens. Next thing you know your tool bag and bug out bag is missing

 

Could be either one of the following,

Either the holdown latch needs to be adjusted
Something is going on with the body control module where it is sending a signal to release the lock.
You might try observing just which of these is happening.

 

Could it be the keys are in your pocket and the buttons get pushed accidentally?
Sort of like when cell phones made pocket dials??

 

Nah. My smart key fob will be laying on my dresser and when I go outside it’ll be open. Neighbors have told me they saw it open and closed it for me. I went to a mall and when I walked out it was open. I’m glad I removed my bug out bag and my guns. Even though they’re locked up someone could still take them and cut the lock box open
