Hi just throwing out my on again off again problem with my tranny. Some days drives like a dream no problems other days it starts in 3rd gear safe mode and stays like that until i shut car off and after restarting it half the time it will be fine . Hopefully you guys can give me some directions where to start from cheapest fixes first haha. Its has 195000 kms. Love this car so far for past 2 years except for dealer prices on parts and its sort of like a Christine fixing itself, from the check engine light to the radio coming on with no power to the car ha. Also is there a pcv on this model and year as when i first bought the car and took it for a tuneup at the dealer the mechanic said no but i have seen some threads about having one any ideas thanks guys.

 

You need a ODB II code scan. Write down the codes, and report them back here for assistance. Did you do a trans fluid change?
