Default Alarm issues after battery went dead

I have an old model elantra.

This morning the car wouldnt start.

I had someone jumpstart the car and it drove.

Later I removed the terminals of the battery to clean them.

Upon replacing the terminals, the alarm started sounding and I cannot disarm it or start the vehicle.

I have tried various sequences to try and reset it without success, can anybody here offer some insight?

Is this an aftermarket alarm or Hyundai factory alarm?
Try using key to unlock and lock the doors.
Put key in ignition and turn to on position (do not start)
Wait about 60 seconds
Does the alarm turn off?
