Car is difficult to start
Hi,
I have a 2000 Hyundai Elantra that up until a few days ago was driving perfectly. I went to drive it and it cranked for a long time before it started. Since then it will only start the 2nd or 3rd time you turn the key on and off. It doesn't seem to matter if the car is cold or warm, it does start ok if the car has only been off for a few minutes. Otherwise it runs fine.
Any ideas what might cause this?
Cheers,
Steve

Sharing info...
1) Check the battery
2) Battery +/- point connection might be corroded
3) Check battery connection clamp (loose, need tightening)
4) Check started motor (carbon coil brush might already wear off)
5) Check ignition system wiring (loose or disconnected)
Just my 2 cents...
