I have a 2005 Elantra GT hatchback and about a couple of years ago the drivers seat got wet several times and started coming apart at the stiching. I took it to several upholstery shops and they all said the same thing, the leather was damaged and needed to be replaced and then stiched, cost varied $250 - $400. I've decided to look around at junk yards and get a seat from a wrecked Elantra. Everybody I've talked to at the junk yards said if a seat was available it would cost around $100. The seat is grey leather from a 2005 GT hatchback and was wondering if the same seat was used in the 2005 GT sedan or even another year Elantra, maybe 2004 or 2006? If I was looking for a seat used in various model years it would make it easier to locate. Thanks.
