I was replacing my stereo and I had to pop off the rheostat to get to a screw to take off the cover from the A/C and around the stereo and now that all thats been taken care of I cant get the rheostat to pop back on. Any solutions or what might I be doing wrong?

Also the A/C dial for heating also wont fully connect.

 

Saw this same post on another H-F couple days ago.

The outer circular fascia of the rheostat has side clips that snap into the sides of the inner plastic body housing. The plastic body housing should still have its upper and lower press-tabs in place to secure it. The back of the plastic housing should have the 3 metal electrical prongs for the harness run.
