Maintenance at 150K+ Miles???
Short story:
2013 Hyundai Elantra (bought new).. Total maintenance includes:
Factory Recalls/campaigns
Oil/Filter Changes
Wiper Blades
Tires
Sparkplugs
Front Brake Pads
I think that's it.
I called dealer and talked to SM. He said (more or less) just change the coolant, auto trans fluid, air filter and spark plugs; only $600. Said there isn't a fuel filter to change. I've seen too many auto transmissions that develop problems after a fluid change. Coolant I don't believe it wears out. If it's clean and the strength is good - run it.
So with this kind of mileage what should I do for maintenance?

engine coolant does wear out and should be changed out every 80K or so miles.. you can drain the radiator and refill with new,, drive for a couple months then do that again..
some with transmission fluid.. drain and refill at least 3 time with 150K on transmission.. it most likely quite dirty.. I use the castrol transmax import fluid.. its SPIII compliant with the hyundai transmission..
spark plugs as well.. easy peezie.. and good one are like 8 bucks each..
total cost about 125 bucks.. you're welcome..
EDIT,, not sure if that motor has timing belt or chain.. if belt you better get it changed TODAY. if they are like the 2000- 2006 models if the belt breaks you will damage engine.
