Master Cylinder
I'm new here and my wifes '04 Elantra just started leaking brake fluid from between the Master Cylinder and the Brake booster. How hard is it to change the Master Cylinder? I've done just about everything else imaginable to a car or truck but never really messed with that stuff. I know it looks pretty straight forward but I saw somewhere that you have to have a special computer thing to bleed the brakes. If there are any little hints or tips that can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Like I said in my answer to your other post, register for access to hmaservice.com and you will see the procedure.
When you sign on, first select ELANTRA XD for the model, 2004 for the year and G 2.0 DOHC for the engine.
Then click on G 2.0 DOHC, BRAKE SYSTEM, BRAKE BOOSTER, and REPAIR PROCEDURES
Then click on MASTER CYLINDER and REPAIR PROCEDURES.
